The Berkeley Post is an independent not for profit newspaper that is put together by local volunteers who are passionate and aspiring writers and photographers. We want to publish articles with fresh and new perspectives that allows us to feel and sense the soul of the writer.
By being a not for profit it allows our writers to have greater freedom of expression because we have no stakeholders that need protection from the truth.
It allows them a channel for expression that they may not have had before allowing new ideas and perspectives to blossom in the Berkeley Community.
The Berkeley Post sees this approach as a fundamental alignment with its mission - reporting local news and supporting the local community.
The Berkeley Post decision making is done by a volunteer board made up of a diverse community that includes women, persons of color, local philanthropists and humanitarians.
If you are a writer or photographer and would like to participate with The Berkeley Post please fill out our form. The Berkeley Post was founded in 2019 and launched its internet presence in November 2020.
